Huerta headlines July 30 Fight Night Club
Featherweight prospect Charles Huerta will headline the second installment of the Fight Night Club series from L.A. LIVE's Club Nokia in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday, July 30.
Huerta's third-round knockout of undefeated Mexican prospect Noe Lopez Jr. on the June 11 premiere of Fight Night Club was one of four bouts featuring young up-and-comers that thrilled fans who packed Club Nokia as well as those watching at home on the Versus network, RingTV.com and Yahoo! Boxing.
Huerta (11-0, 7 knockouts) is back for the July 30 event in a six-round fight against an opponent to be determined. The 22-year-old lives in Paramount, Calif.
Also returning from the premiere show is lightweight prospect Luis Ramos (11-0, 6 KOs), who scored an impressive fifth-round KO of 36-fight veteran Baudel Cardenas on June 11. The 21-year-old resident of Santa Ana, Calif. will co-headline the July 30 show in a six-round bout.
The second installment of the critically acclaimed Golden Boy Promotions series will also feature two newcomers to the monthly show.
Featherweight prospect Ronny Rios (5-0, 2 KOs), a three-time national amateur champ from Santa Ana, Calif., and lightweight prospect Carlos Molina (7-0, 3 KOs), another former national amateur champ from Commerce, Calif., will see four-round action on July 30.
The televised bouts will air live on Versus and will be streamed live on RingTV.com and Yahoo! Boxing beginning at 7 p.m. PT/10 p.m. ET. Club Nokia doors open at 6 p.m. PT and the first bell rings at 6:30 p.m. PT.
