British heavyweight star Anthony Joshua will face Gary Cornish for the vacant Commonwealth title in London, England, on September 12.

An Olympic champion at London 2012, Joshua has raced to 13-0 (13 knockouts) since turning professional and will now look to claim gold in the paid ranks.

Scotsman Cornish is also unbeaten at 21-0 (12 knockouts). The 28-year-old has been a professional since 2011 and, at 6ft 7, and 250 pounds, he can at least match Joshua in terms of size and dimensions. Whether he has the skill and power to deter one of the sport’s most impressive prospects remains to be seen.

Another Brit, Dillian Whyte, will have his eyes on this bout as he looks to face the winner for the British title later this year. Whyte continues his preparations for the August 1 show in Hull, England, where another Olympic gold medalist Luke Campbell meets Tommy Coyle in the main event.
