Omar Trinidad will face Hector Sosa on October 26, 360 Boxing Promotions announced late Thursday. The 10-round bout will take place at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California and will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.

“Omar Trinidad continues to prove with each fight that he’s one of the top featherweights in boxing,” said promoter Tom Loeffler. “His willingness to face the toughest fighters in the division and his aggressive, all-action style has made him one of the most popular fighters in California. Hector Sosa is a very solid, highly-ranked world class fighter with an impressive winning streak and represents Omar’s toughest opponent to date.”

Trinidad (16-0-1, 12 knockouts) has been a staple of the Hollywood Fight Nights cards at the Commerce Casino, drawing huge crowds. Trinidad resides about 15 minutes away in the Boyle Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles.

In his last bout on July 26, Trinidad stopped former prospect Viktor Slavinskiy in the 10th round of an action fight. In his previous fight on January 27, Trinidad dropped Jose Perez twice en route to a eighth round knockout victory.

The 28-year-old also has victories over Roberto Meza and Adan Ochoa.

Also 28 years of age, Sosa has won his last three fights since losing by unanimous decision to Christian Carto in October 2022.

The Ring has learned unbeaten flyweight prospect Daniel Barrera (7-0-1, 4 KOs) of Eastvale, California will also be on the card. Barrera has regularly sparred with four weight-division world titleholder Roman ‘Chocolatito’ Gonzalez.
