Junior Younan continues his march towards the upper echelon of the 168-pound division.

Younan will face Luzlim Bajrami in a clash of unbeaten fighters on September 14 at the Paramount Theatre in Huntington, New York, Star Boxing announced Thursday. The 10-round bout will headline a Rockin’ Fights 48 card.

The 28-year-old Younan (20-0-1, 12 knockouts), who resides in Brooklyn, New York, last fought on May 11, knocking out Ricardo Lara in the opening round. The win over Lara was his debut under the Star Boxing banner and also took place at the Huntington Theatre.

In his previous fight on November 24, Younan defeated gatekeeper Ramses Agaton by unanimous decision.

Younan’s most high-profile fight took place in February 2018, when he fought to a split-decision draw against Ronald Ellis in a clash against a fellow unbeaten super middleweight prospect. Younan also has victories over Dauren Yeleussinov, Derrick Findley, and Jeyson Minda.

Bajrami (9-0, 4 KOs), who is originally from Tetovo, Macedonia and now resides in Hamburg, Germany, defeated journeyman Milos Janjanin by unanimous decision on June 1. It was his first fight since July 2022, when he defeated Radoslav Mitev by unanimous decision.

The 26-year-old has only faced one fighter with a winning record, defeating Janne Rantanen by knockout in April 2019.

In the co-main event, Erick Perez will square off against Joseph Elzey (2-0, 1 KO) of The Bronx, New York in a four-round junior featherweight bout.

Perez (2-0, 1 KO) is originally from Mexico and now resides in Passaic, New Jersey. The 23-year-old has fought his previous two fights at the Paramount Theatre.

Featherweight Ronny Reyes (4-1, 1 KO) of New York City, who is promoted by Star Boxing, will face Yan Carlos Perez (2-0, 2 KOs) of the Dominican Republic in a six-round bout.

In a six-round super middleweight bout, Louis Maietta (4-4-2, 1 KO), who also resides in The Bronx, will square off against Jeremiah Truhlar (1-4-2) of Humble, Texas. Maietta is a New York City firefighter.

Rodrigo Marte (3-0, 2 KOs) of the Dominican Republic will face Yacouba Said in a six-round bout. Said (3-1) is originally from Niger and currently resides in Marche, Italy.
