Floyd Mayweather Jr. to host Saturday presser for May 3 PPV event

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will host a press conference to formally announce his Showtime PPV matchup against Marcos Maidana May 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The press event will take place at 12-noon PT and will be streamed live by Showtime Sports.

Fans support Alvarez, Angulo at presser but will they buy the PPV?

Canelo Alvarez and Alfredo Angulo had vocal fans supporting them at the kick-off press conference for their March 8 PPV headliner in L.A. However, it remains to be seen if fans across the U.S. will purchase the Mexican showdown given both fighters are coming off losses.

The press tour for the Sept. 14 Floyd Mayweather-Saul “Canelo” Alvarez Showtime PPV event that takes place at MGM Grand in Las Vegas begins on Monday, June 24, in New York City, and will include 11 cities and two countries. All 11 events will be open to the public.
